Ajax Extension for Rate and Review

I am trying to include a rate (with stars) and review (with comment) system on
a couple of php based websites, preferably with AJAX. Does anyone have an
extension or kit that can be used for the purpose. I've looked at the JK-Kit,
but would prefer to keep the data in-house.
