Aligning Guides to Objects

Hi all

I'm having a problem with aligning guides to objects.

Here's what happens, I select a guide and an object, I go to the Align tool palette and press either align left or right or up or down (depending on the guide), and instead of the objects aligning to one another, the object stays where it is and the guide ends up 125 inches off screen to the left (or up, depending on the guide).

Things to note, aligning objects to other objects seems to work just fine. Also, my guides aren't at all locked. I've also downloaded the update for Illustrator, and still nothing.

This used to work for me in the past, so I'm wondering if there's a setting I'm missing or something.

If anyone has any ideas about this, please let me know.

Chris,

sorry that I don't know the correct term of the option that must be turned off, but look at the Flyout of the Align palette. Disable the second option and aligning with guides should work again.
