altering position of stroke on object
Does anyone know how to set a stroke to the outside or inside of an object. At the moment there seems to be no option and the stoke sits in the center of the object's outline. I'm using FH9. Any help greatly appeciated.
Thanks

Re: altering position of stroke on object
A work around to this is to duplicate the object and apply a stroke. Then if you just want it go outside, place it behind. If you want it just on the inside cut and paste inside.

another way to go; it takes a few more steps than Mark's method but
makes for simpler artwork that's also easier to trap, if required.
1: Clone the object (twice if you want to keep its fill, because
you're going to destroy two copies of it).
2: Expand Stroke to *twice* the line thickness you want.
3: Split the resulting compound path.
4: Delete the inner (or outer) path.
5: Select both the formerly outer (or inner) path and the original
object, and Join them.
6: Fill the resulting compound path with the desired colour; change
the stroke (if any) to None.
You now should have an object that looks as if the original shape's
stroke were outside (or inside) the path.
