/ always in front of my picture and button links! Help... - Macromedia Dreamweaver

When ever I put a picture into my webpage it always puts a / in front of think. The picture still shows up in Dreamweaver but not on the actual page. It wouldn't be so bad if I could delete them and they would be gone but they keep re-apearing. Also, whenever I double click the folder icon next to the src or file input on the properties tool bar it always changes my relativity back to doent and not root. and example.... --what I want: pics/logo.gif --what it does: /pic/logo.gif I am useing templates and all pictures and links ...

ignore me, Im retarded. I was confused because when I opened the file with internet explorer it didnt show picture...because it didnt have the doent root for the link. with a / and with out both work on my server, but without the / IE can find the pics without a doent relation

    Site root relative:
ALWAYS starts with a leading / slash

    Doent Relative:
Never starts with a leading / slash (it can start with ../ which means go up
    one folder lever however)

In the "Browse to File" dialog box, where you pick the image file, look at
    the bottom half of it.

There is a Pulldown, to pick "Site Root Relative" or "Relative to Doent"
Set that to "Relative to Doent"

It will stay that way till you change it.

If you only have a few images- just re-browse to them and change the
    pulldown.

If you have quite a few pages-
