Default AMD-64 Questions

Hi All:

Newbie w/ some questions:

PC: AMD-64 bit, full install working reasonably well (no attempts at
multi-media yet):
w/ Athlon AMD-64 3000+ cpu, Ubuntu 5.1 Breezy AMD-64 DVD Distro, Asus
K8N, and ATI Radeon Video.

Known info:

I have uncommented all the std respositories (/etc/apt/sources.list); in
addition, the DVD is included as the first repository for synaptic.

I get Ubuntu (Red Ball) automatic update info, which I click, d/l and
install manually thru my dial-up modem. New Red Ball up-date info
appears ~ every couple of days!

All d/l's appear to install correctly, and pc operation seems normal,
but some of the d/l's have a persistent large warning:

W: Couldn't stat source pkg test http://us.archive.ubuntu.com
breezy/universe [or main or restricted, etcetera.]packages
(/var/lib/apt/lists/us.archives...[continues w/ full name of
repositories ending w/ ] amd-64_Packages)-stat(2 no such file or
directory)
---------------
After d/l's, I see a lot of new directory listings/additions in
/var/lib/apt/lists which have the same names as the warning
respositories above and also, many end in 'amd-64_Packages'.

Questions:

1. Does Ubuntu now have specific amd-64 (64 bit) respositories?

2. If they do exist, should these '64's' be included in my
/etc/apt/sources.list?
In addition or in liu of the the std respositories?

3. By interpreting the above warnings, have these amd-64 updates been
installed and working on my system, or are they just being cached in the
/var...> directory?

4. Any other comments or suggestions or reasons for the warnings?

Thanks for any help.
