I'm transitioning my entire catalog of websites from GoLive over to DW and the
one issue that's really killing my workflow is Dreamweaver's inability to
rewrite relative links on a paste. Let me explain. I've got several sites that
have redundant content in the form of downloadable pdf forms. With these sites
I'd make a relative link on the page (eg. /liftchairs/warranty.html) to the
graphic and then a text link to the document in question. In GoLive these were
relative links and when I copied them from one page to another in design mode
and pasted them to a page with a different nested structure (eg.
/wheelchairs/powerchairs/warranty.html) GoLive would rewrite the relative link.

The problem is Dreamweaver only rewrites relative links when you move a
document, not when you copy and paste content in design mode. So the links
break unless the directory structure is exactly the same (which is not possible
on most of my sites). I've since learned that if I make all of my links root
relative instead of document relative there's little or no need to rewrite
anything on a paste. This works in theory but since all of my site additions
are always posted to a temporary directory such as domain.com/new for client
approval, everything breaks. Likewise this doesn't work for dynamic templates
or subdomains making it a really lousy solution.

So the question after this very long explanation is, is there an extension
that simply rewrites pasted relative links? It seems like such a basic feature
that I can't believe DW doesn't do it out of the box. but since it doesn't I
really need a better solution than the half-baked one I'm using now.
