An online preflighting tool
Hi all,
I have been asked to investigate the possibility of develpoing a preflighting tool to work with our existing software.
I understand that we cannot use Adobe Professional due to the licensing (specifially 3.2 I believe). I was wondering if the LiveCycle package has any preflighting tools that can be called by an external application for preflighting pdf's.
Cheers

Ok, thanks for the quick reply.
Am I correct about the licensing? I'm not allowed to install Professional on a server?

That is correct, section 2.3 of the EULA ("Server Use") gives you the restrictions for this type of operation. It is only permitted in very few select situations. Without a more detailed explanation of your solution I wouldn't be able to tell you if you would or wouldn't be allowed, but it's a short paragraph, so your best bet is to read it and make your own determination.
