There has to be an easier way to angle the header text at 45 degrees. I know there is the 90º, 180º, and 270º in the cell/text options, why isn't there one for 45º???

What a good question.
I'd never noticed that.
Perhaps someone could suggest why anybody might want text in a cell that's
upside down.

This is one of those little stupid things where QuarkXPress actually does a better job (I hate to admit it). In XPress tables, as funky as they are, you can rotate text to an arbitrary angle.
