Default Animated GIF jerky in Explorer

I have created an animated GIF of my site that features a grey symbol (flat color) that slowly pulsates brighter and then back to normal. Safari and Netscape play it perfectly but Explorer stutters through the animation, giving me a jerky look to the sequence. Am I missing something when I save the GIF? Is there some setting that's needed for Explorer or do they just suck? Help please!

What version of Explorer? Can we see the gif? Have you tried messing with the timing between frames or does that screw it up in other browsers?

I don't have Explorer on my Mac but some co-workers do. Maybe Explorer needs more RAM. Or maybe it is just crap.

    Mike,

If you post a link, I'll look at it in Explorer.
