Animated GIF timings - Macromedia Fireworks

I need to create an animated GIF that changes it's content 1000 times per second. Is this possible with Fireworks? If not, what application will do it? This is for a project at work. There will be an 800x800 checkerboard pattern, the white and black squares have to alternate every 1/1000 of a second....

The smallest time period defined by the GIF specification is 1/100 sec.
Even if an app let you enter 1/1000, the file format couldn't store the
    information.

Is this a joke? Nothing on a PC can display 1000 frames per second.

You monitor alone refreshes about 100 times a second. even if you manage to
make some program alone which shows 1000 images per second the monitor won't
draw each 9 of 10 of them.

And what the hell you you need a gif that fast for :)? Mess with brain
    waves, hypnoze, quantum phsysics!? :))

The human eye is not capable of discerning such a high frequency. My guess
is that all you'll see is a solid grey chess board..

There won't be way to prove his theory wrong since no PC monitors can
display changes with this frequent rate :))

For 72hertz monitors you get max 72 fps, for those in 100, max 100 fps.

for 1000 fps, you need a 1000hertz monitor, there's no such thing.

He inquired about this again, I said his boss would have to submit a request
for him. I get stuck with a lot of projects that aren't proven and cannot be
used here. This was one of them..the material I read on the subject was
still "alpha". "View a 1 minute video and never smoke again!". Huh? :P
