    Default animated GIFs for photos?

I am trying to animate some photos but of course I can only animate a GIF and they look awful. I have tried slicing those pics as JPGs but when I optimize and export as animated GIF they go back to looking horrid. any suggestions?

    Hello,

If you have Dreamweaver, you can achieve simple animation for your Jpeg
images in Dreamweaver. Here some basics of using Timeline in Dreamweaver:

    I hope this helps.

    Hi, Kay!
Hate to tell you this, but I think you already know the answer - animated gif is as good as it gets with FW. You should probably look at Flash etc to animate photo-quality jpeg images.
BTW - what kind of animation are you attempting? It may be possible to get the effect you are after using DW animated timelines??? Just a thought!

I will look into a DW timeline--great suggestion. My client doesnt' want Flash because he doesn't have a plug-in and assumes no one does. I got instructions from someone (maybe you?) on how to detect and re-route to a regular HTML page if they don't have a plug-in but it seemed complicated for my new journey into Flash. I'll check out the timelines first; that make work out great.

    Thanks.
