Re: Animation Failure
Dreamweaver is not a browser. If I recall from your screen capture that you
sent to us yesterday, you are working directly with online files, which is
not usually a good thing to do. Your page works fine online in a browser so
the issue is with your local configuration. Once again, let me emphasize
that you will never see any type of behavior or animation in Dreamweaver
Design View as it is a static rendering and is incapable of rendering pages
as a true browser.

Re: Animation Failure
As you previously mentioned, yesterday, you are not an expert .NET user. Unbeknownst t o you, animation did previously appear before the latest Microsoft update patch.

I did not correspond with you yesterday. Gerry Jacobsen did. If you would
answer your telephone, I'd be happy to help you fix your Dreamweaver issues.
I do not believe this is a .NET issue at all - unless you are not explaining
yourself correctly and your screen capture was a fluke.

Additionally, this is your page with our menu:
http://www.dslcomputer.com/
The menu works correctly in all browsers and if I grab your code it displays
as it should in Dreamweaver... but is, of course, non-functioning unless you
actually preview it using a testing server or Dreamweaver's direct
preview-in-browser function.
Our phone number is listed on this page if you'd like to contact us:

Re: Animation Failure
I did not initially mention .NET in our past discussion yesterday. Your esteemed associate did. Is this the way you treat your customers by ridicule and aberro comments?

Re: Animation Failure
Yes you did. It's in your email and part of your screen capture. I just
spent 20 minutes on the phone with you trying to explain how your server is
set up. I'm not trying to insult you, I was trying to help you with issues
that don't even relate to our product. You are running Dreamweaver on a
remote server, connecting from your desktop using RDS, and do not know how
to open the local testing server on your remote desktop. That's why your
pages only display when you connect online. What's happening is that you are
editing and manipulating the actual live pages of your site, so your logical
testing scenario should simply be to open your domain in a browser.
Actually, I think you are just frustrated. I am feel for you but there is
nothing else I can do. My esteemed associate has emailed you essentially the
same diagnosis: that it is a problem with how your site is configured in
Dreamweaver. The web site works fine and our menu system works perfectly.

I thought we had previously mutually agreed to discontinue our discourse after
our telephone conversation. And, now, you have resorted to personal and
slanderous liable attacks over an Internet discussion board.
I held back on what I personally that of your services and tech support. Do
not let me regret that decision !!

help you solve general Dreamweaver issues. Perhaps if you post your full
question here, along with links to your page and a screen shot, someone else
can assist you with your server and site config issues.
Have a nice day and please don't take your frustrations out on me.
