Another SQL problem
I'm getting "Syntax error in UPDATE statement." on the following, any ideas? It
was working fine in CF4.5
CF 6.1 says the error is here;
where id='#form.cvid#'
<cfquery name="insert_bullets" datasource="#ds#" dbtype="ODBC">
update CV_Static
set OFFICE_ID='#form.office_id#',
LANG='#form.LANG#',
FIRST_NAME='#form.first_name#',
M_INITIAL='#form.m_initial#',
LAST_NAME='#form.last_name#',
PHONE_BUS='#form.phone_bus#',
PHONE_FAX='#form.phone_fax#',
EMAIL='#form.email#',
TITLE_E='#form.title_e#',
TITLE_F='#form.title_f#',
IMAGE_ALIGN='#form.image_align#',
VIEWED=#sa#,
AGENCY_SERVICE=#aa#,
see_vcard=#va#
<cfif form.image IS NOT "">,image='#file.serverfile#'</cfif>
<cfif form.vcard IS NOT "">,vcard='#file.serverfile#'</cfif>
where id='#form.cvid#'

Re: Another SQL problem
What value was actually passed from #form.cvid#?
What ID format is in database?
If numeric then it will be error when you passed non-numeric data.
Use in query where id=#form.cvid# (without single quotes) or better
<CFQUERYPARAM value="#form.cvid#" CFSQLType = "CF_SQL_NUMERIC">

Re: Another SQL problem
As this worked in 4.5
I would suggest that the query is erroring on
EMAIL='#form.email#',
or
VIEWED=#sa#,
I would say either one or both are reserved words.

Re: Another SQL problem
No, but they could be in the new drivers ?
Besides, I think you will find that "Email" would probably be in most db's
