Anti-piracy software
What are the solution for protecting Director applications?
I have spoken to companies like:
Alladin
MacroVision
Pace
None of them have experience protecting Director applications. Is there a Macromedia solution to protect application created in Director? If not, is there a way to protect the Director applications? If so, what are the company names or the products to use?

Re: Anti-piracy software
For casual piracy prevention you can setup a registration system, in
which user enters a registration code the fist program is run, ths
registration can be stored in a 'secret' file so that drive does not
heve to re-register. Of couse one just has to share the password along
with the software, but it does help avoid having to provide support for
multiple copies.
Seems that I heard about an xtra that can read the serial number of the
users hard drive, some web based registration process could key off this
number.
For max protection one could have an Xtra authored that would access a
hardware 'dongle' device.

I believe Photocaster doessomething like that...where the Serial # is dependent upon the cmmputer it is installed on.

Re: Anti-piracy software
Hello,
My company makes and sells an xtra which enables a licensing regime to be
applied to Director (and other) applications. You can read about it at
