Sounds odd. Can you be a bit more specific in your example: a URL to a
certain page and which text to look at?

    Default Antialias Text

    Hi,

I have been noticing recently that the text in some websites appears
antialiased, as if created with Fireworks or some graphic design software,
but it's plain text. Does anyone know how this is accomplished? Look at
    Amazon.com as an example.

    Thanks,

    E.J.

Try looking for a book at Amazon.com and look at the reviews. For example:

win XP certainly does have font smoothing.

right click my Computer>Properties>Advanced>Performance and you'll see the
"Smooth edges of screen fonts" option in the list

    antialiased

Remember to keep the dynamic text box at whole numbers on the x, y
    axis. And dont' mask it.

You cannot do that to a SWF after its published

With Flash MX 2004 (and SWiSHmax) you can change your text to aliased
    directly and republish.

You CAN at play-time tell the player to use device fonts (if they are
    available) .. that can help.
