anybody interested in maintaining acrobat plugin for use of itextwithin acrobat?
Hi,
Is anybody interested in hosting and maintaining the sourcecode of a
acrobat plugin to extend acrobat using itext? A few years ago I wrote a
acrobat plugin that takes java sourcefiles and hooks them into acrobat
by inserting a menuitem for every itext script to call them (one for
each sourcefile). The sourcefiles are then interpreted using beanshell.
The result of the manipulation then is feed back to acrobat so that it
looks like a native plugin for a acrobat user. It consists of
C-sourcecode and java sourcecode and runs on acrobat 5 and above. I can
provide sourcecode and a ready-to-run plugin. I wrote it once to be able
to test compatibility of some itext manipulations withing acrobat.
However it is suitable as a way to extend acrobat using itext snippets too.
To be able to maintain it one should have experience writing acrobat
plugins in C and should know java and how to call java applications from
within C.
The only requirement is that it remains free for commercial use.
Best regards,
Carsten
