Anyone getting mail with Mozilla? - Mac Applications & Software

The Mozilla newsgroups don't seem to have an answer to this problem. Neither does my ISP (we pretend to support Netscape, but not Mozilla) Mac OS 10.1.5, Mozilla 1.4 Usenet posts are no problem, sending or getting. Receiving e-mail, no problem. But sending e-mail is broken. No time outs, just keeps on saying that a send is in progress. For many minutes if I let it. Studied the account settings several times. As far as I can tell, they are the same as those in Mail.app which has no problem sending. ?????...

I have been using Mozilla to browse the Internet and send mail since
April 2003 with no problems. I even have the Mac Mail program as my
default in System Preferences with Safari as my browser and Mozilla
still works. (Though if I click a mail link or URL with out Mozilla
open, Mail or Safari opens, not Mozilla.)

under 'Server Settings' for that account: if you have
'Use secure connection (SSL)' selected, try un-selecting it.

Can you describe or send snapshots of the
    pertinent preference panels?

Obviously, you'll want to make sure no passwords
or other sensitive info are showing....

It's possible that there is actually something
broken in 10.1.5, since I haven't heard of anyone
else having this problem (and it was in the last
    version of Mozilla, too).
