Why not just go out and buy a Palm and the appropriate ROM reader and
    pirate the IP by yourself?

Ryan, next time you have a Palm-related question, ask it in a Palm
newsgroup. This is a Macintosh newsgroup.

There's no need for anyone to send a ROM image to you. If you don't
have a Palm OS device, you can join the Palm OS Developer Program (it's
free) and download the ROM images from Palm's web site. All you have to
do is give them your email address and fill out a web form with some
basic information. They'll email you a password, which you can use to
log into their Resource Pavillion and download the ROM images.

That wouldn't be piracy. You can download a Palm emulator for free from
Palm's web site, and it comes with a Palm app for reading the ROM from a
real Palm device. They're allowing people to do it because they _want_
people to be able to develop software for Palm OS.

Seeing as he has a .hk extension to his address, he's also going to have
to send in a signed NDA.
