Anyone used xpphoto.com? or clubphoto? - Photography

They offer mate printing at $.18 for a 4X6? Has anyone used this online print service yet? Or clubphoto? I can't always get in to the walmart, and walmart.com uses glossy. I'd like to find an inexpensive online service that prints on matte....

I use ClubPhoto and have found their servicer to be very good. Their
quality is also very good. I like the online albums that allow me to
post a set of pictures for the family to view and they can also order
their own prints which saves me the hassle of taking "orders" for reprints.

Haha. I do the same with ofoto for my family. I'd offer them a cheaper
alternative but they know how to use ofoto and that is amazing itself.

I don't feel guilty about it all. On Easter I came home, dumped my
cards, did a quick resize to 200dpi for 4x6 prints and uploaded them.
Within 3 hours of Easter "ending" I had pictures available for the
family, most of whom have email.

At a recent graduation I had the pictures posted on the web before the
party was over. I love digital.

I have a 4 year old, and the picture issue caused grief. Once I went digital
and turned my folks on to ofoto, all is well, Now we have a newborn and it
    makeslife easier.

I don't have time to do pics and mail em out to everyone.

Why do you resize to 200 dpi for the 4X6's if i may ask?

I will also post a review of xpphoto if I use them. I am in no way a high end
pohotograper like people here, but do a decent job with light, sharpening etc.
So I'll do my bst to review it for people who do everyday digital photography.

I still have dial-up because I live about 6 miles outside of the small
town I live near. I will probably never see cable and am too far away
from the switching station for DSL. Satellite is just too expensive to
    justify for web surfing.

200dpi is the smallest I think is needed for "decent" prints. They look
pretty good and are a lot smaller for uploading. So I upload 1200x800
which will get 4x6. If someone asks for bigger (5x7,8x10) then I upload
    a larger image.

ClubPhoto are quite good, make sure you read the options available
after you upload before placing the order.
