AOL and Netgear Router. . can they get along?
I have a netgear wireless router MR814v2
the latest version of AOL wont connect.
i actually use AOL ver 5 which runs on OS9 to get aol to work
The new AOL OSX works fine with a direct line to the dsl cable. . but
not when going thru the router
I know its some configuration problem. . seems to be a firewall
problem to me.
Netgear's wbe site is of little help
I noticed at my parents the Linksys wireless router gave no problems. .
but I dont want to buy a new router.
I would appreciate any help
Thanks way in advanced.

You need to open a DMZ (Demiltarized Zone) from the router to the
machine IP that's running AOL.
It's a pain. But for some reason, this is not required for the Windows
AOL client.
