arabic fonts..
hey all :)
have a translation for a brochure it is in arabic
ok.. so.. before when i was working with chinese... the process was fairly simple... copy text in word, past into photoshop, copy from PS, paste into ILL.
now...
the arabic fonts... work like this... as you type "letter" word automatically creates "words" which in turn look like different characters... and if i copy & paste into PS... it works BUT it pastes letters... instead of the formed words... (which is totally improper to my understanding)
any ideas why?

Re: arabic fonts..
You will need to use Middle Estern edition of Adobe software to handle Arabic properly. Arabic will not function properly within English programs.
With InDesign-ME, you can import Arabic WORD files for typesetting and layout within InDesign-ME. Everything will flow correctly, and handle Arabic from right-to-left.
From this point, you can complete you work, or prepare the Arabic for use within Graphic programs (outline text, type on a path, save as EPS/PDF). See arabicdtp.com for product info on Adobe ME software.
