Default Are DW MX 2004 extensions compatible with DW 8?

Does anyone know if extensions that worked in Dreamweaver MX 2004 (and below in
the case of several) will work in Dreamweaver 8, even if they are not declared
as 8? Dreamweaver 8 resembles Dreamweaver MX 2004, but I know that they are
some major changes. Will the Extension Manager refuse to install incompatible
extensions, or will it install them and one discovers the incompatibility after
    launching Dreamweaver 8?

If anyone knows, I would like to know. I use several older extensions heavily,
    including the Greeking extensions.

Some work and some don't. Unfortunately you just have to try the ones you
have and see what happens. I personally only had a couple that didn't so I
think the chances are good. If you run across one that doesn't .. contact
the developer and ask if they have put out or will put out an updated
    version.
