    Peter,
    I played one of my CDs through a friends TV with a built in DVD
    player. Basically the results are CRAP. A TV doesn't have the
    resolution of even a reasonable monitor. Movies come out OK but still
    show the limitations.

    Yes, you can view them on a DVD player, but only if the player can show jpgs --
    not all do. Also the jpegs must be sized in accordance with the instructions
    that came with the player -- usually 72 resolution, and there may be dimension
    limits that set the file size, i.e. 4x6" or 5x7"
