Re: argh! Problem with exporting Biped Physique Animations.
Ok there, it seems the problem with exports of Biped/Physique animations is linked to the version of 3DS and character studio used...
We have exactly the same problem as you, with the "problem occured" message at export.
We're working with 3DS MAX 5.1 and Character Studio 4.0.
What is the good combination, pleeeeeease :o(
Thanks for answers

Discreet Plasma is the good combination. I swear I don't work for Discreet
:-).
But having run into many a trouble with the Maya Shockwave 3D exporter and
the Maya RTA plugin, Plasma looked like heaven when we started using it.
Do you use the latest version of the exporter for 3DS Max 5, that is the
Shockwave 3D extension only available to the people who registered for the
Discreet subscription program and to users of Plasma (you can install the
Shockwave 3D extension for 3DS Max during the Plasma install):

The Shockwave 3D extension written for Plasma and 3DS Max 5 solve many
character related problems.
Further problem solving concerning skinning and animation is brought by
CanDo with their MaxScript for Plasma and 3DS Max 5:
