ArialMS not found

Does anyone know how to fix this? My file does not contain this font - but when it distilles the file, it generates an error message. If I try to use a Press Quality setting it does not generate the pdf file. I am having a hard time trying to fix this problem, can anyone help.

The problem is the MS font. (ArialMS) Adobe does not have a Licensing agreement with Microsoft to allow embedding Miscrosoft Fonts. The odds of Adobe getting one is when a Cow sprouts wings and learns to file around the moon.

Cure for your problem is open Distiller. then open edit Adobe font settings. Locate this ArialMs font and place in the do not embed list.

Make sure you have selected the adobe settings file you just edited. Then quit Distiller.

Now try your item and see whether you can create your PDF.

Ok, exactly how are you making the file that you are distilling? For
instance, exporting an EPS in XPress (which will certainly do this)?

I create a Postscipt file and drop it into the distiller. My file does not contain this Arial font - I don't understand why it keep giving me this message. I can generate a pdf file if I use Standard settings, but if I use Press Quality it won't generate a pdf file.

HOW do you create the PostScript file? What OS, application and
driver?

No but your PostScript file must.

That's because Press is set up to fail if a font is not found.

I use Freehand or Quark in the Classic OS 9.2

Ok, in Printer Setup in your application, you need to make sure "Font
Inclusion: All" is selected (or some similar option).
