Arrange anchored object - Adobe Indesign Windows

Hi there, Using ID CS2, I've got some text with a graphic object anchored to it. I can position the object where I want it to be relative to the text, but I can't find how to send it behind the text, it is always the front object. I have tried putting it on a different layer, but it moves to the same layer as the text it is being anchored to. Any bright ideas to help? Colin W...

As to the last part: an anchored object is always on the same layer as the anchor, i.e. on the same layer as the text the anchor is in.

As for the first part: I think you can't do it. An anchored object is always in front of the text. Maybe I'm wrong here, but that's what I have seen until now.

    Try this:

Select the anchored object, then open your transparancy pallette. Drop down the blending mode list and try a few of the other choices, such as "darken". The "normal" setting seems to hide everything, but depending on the color of the anchored object, and the background of the text box, you should find something that works.

    Thanks for the replies,
I'd experimented with using blending modes, not ideal but probably the best solution I'm going to get by the sound of it.

    Cheers,
