    Default Arrowheads

In Illustrator 10 I find that the arrowhead base coincides with the end of the line. But my preference is that the arrowhead tip should coincide with the line end. How do I do it?

You'll have to move your points once the effect is achieved. Whoever thougth this was the correct way to add arrowheads should be flogger with a hose. And whoever thought not to correct this glaring error should be forced to watch.

    1. Draw a short horizontal path with the stroke weight you use most frequently for arrows.
    2. Filter>Stylize>Add Arrowheads.
    3. Ungroup.
    4. Drag the path (not the arrowhead) to the Brushes Palette. Define a new PatternBrush.
    5. AltDrag the arrowhead to the Brushes Palette and drop it into the End tile of the Pattern Brush you just created.

Draw a path, apply the Brush. The arrow point will be at the end of the path.

I tried your suggestion but did not work. I get a number of arrows. Any other suggestion?

    Suryanarayana,

Are you sure you ungrouped (3) and only dropped the arrowhead into the End tile (5)? In the Brush palette, you should see two pieces of line (second and third box) and one arrowhead (sixth/last box).
