:-/ It's a G3...as in no lens. An I'm referring to the glare on the LCD...it
makes it impossible to frame a shot...

If you go back to film how will you frame the shot?

My G1 had a lens, Helped keep the dust of the CCD and improved the final
image no end compared to my pin hole camera :)

Impossible? I Have not seen the G3 but does it not have an eye piece to
look through, Just like your film camera?

I used the G1 for about 2 years and often in the sun with no problems at
all. But then again i NEVER used the LCD to frame a shot unless it was a
Macro or on a tripod, But that's just me. My wife always used the LCD.
Result = camera shake camera shake and some more camera shake :)
I think the only way to see a small screen in the sun is to use a hood of
    some description.

Zoom out and point it in the general direction and then crop later. As if.

    Through the lens viewfinder.

    I have a lensmate with a filter...it's not a lens though.

Problem is the viewfinder is heavily obstructed by the lens mate and with
the wide angle adaptor on, forget about it.

Sorry Seb that was just my joke, The camera comes with a Lens, I know you
mean interchangeable lens that's why I put the smiley

Hmmm I used the canon adaptor and found it was ok most of the time, Never
used the wide angle one though. But if you must use the LCD and can not tilt
it in a fashion to reduce glare then it is a Hood for you :)

Ohhhh.....I wish you could get a tint or something! The wide adaptor is the
    size of a small plate.
