Artboard Problems

Hi, I'm having a persistent problem with the artboard. When i put my designs on the artboard, and export to jpeg file. The picture is cut at the sides and top. I know that illustrator exports what she sees, but is there anyway to export my work with the size of the artboard intact in the image? I've resorted to drawing an invisible large square on the border of the artboard but its very tedious and sometimes it isnt accurate. Any help is appreciated thanks. =)

Does the same happen when you Save for Web (can only be done as RGB which may be what you need, but even if not your findings may have relevance to the one who has the final answer)?

If saving for web is ok for you:
* Save for web: Image Size Palette: Check the Clip to Artboard option

You might try making crop marks, then exporting it.
