Does "article tool" create links between articles?

In the Acrobat 6 help file?
The article tool is useful for joining text that flows across pages or for drawing the reader's attention to an important piece of text and allowing them to read it continuously, or in the manner you choose.
There really is not that much to it. Basically select the tool and then draw a box around the text areas you want to add to the article. As I said this can be anywhere in the document.
