Artwork between InDesign and Illustrator
Hi Forum,
I am doing a map on illustrator to place it in an InDesign file which final output will be an online brochure PDF to be seen on screen. The map that i am working is a plain illustrator drawing which does not have any transparencies or weird effect. I wonder which is the best output to export from illustrator or to place in InDesign. I am trying to place a PDF on Indesign and it looks ok but the file is quite large. I also tried to export a 300 dpi jpg from Illustrator but even in 300 dpi real a4 size looks a bit jagged. What should I do?
Any suggestions or help? Thanks a lot.

Re: Artwork between InDesign and Illustrator
if the file is fairly simple then just copy and paste into ID.

Re: Artwork between InDesign and Illustrator
You can also place native AI files into ID. There is no reason to export it as anything. If you do copy and paste to ID, make sure your clipboard setting in Illustrator is set to AICB Preserve Paths. If the paste in ID gives you a message that the file is too complex, then cancel that and "place" the AI file.
