Assertion Error- Save to Web
Same old problem, tried deleting preferences file, it does nothing. I'm about to re-install the Save to web plug in. We will see if that works. If there are any other suggestions please let me know.

What Save to Web plugin?
The Save For Web method is installed with normal installation, it's not a
separate plugin you have to manually "install".
Or are you talking about something else?

If you look under "Help" then "about plug-in" you will see that its listed as a plug-in....yep, surprised me too.
I did manage to fix the problem but I had to delete all the contents of preferences 2.0 and 3.0 in the registry. Just deleting the file didn't help, nor did doing the keyboard stuff.
