Assign and save profile? - Adobe Illustrator Windows

Hi! I have a question about Illustrator CS / Win. I've got a doent with a placed image (CMYK,Euroscale Coated v2) and some vector-art on top of it. When i save the eps i'd want to include that very profile with the doent, but every time i re-open it i get a popup saying this doent has no profile. Well, i assign one and save it but next time it's still missing? So far i've tested the following: ------------------------------------------------------------- Color settings: * Made sure "Emulate Illy 6" was not chosen. Custom settings: Working space: * "Colormatch RGB" and "Euroscale Coated ...

    Default Assign and save profile?

    So far i've tested the following:

    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Color settings:

    * Made sure "Emulate Illy 6" was not chosen.

    Custom settings:

    Working space:
    * "Colormatch RGB" and "Euroscale Coated v2"

    The next field (whatever it may be called in the english version):
    * Convert to working space
    * Convert to working space

    Non matching/missing profiles:
    * Ask when opening/pasting

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    This doent came without profile, so i created a new one and copied/pasted the grouped artwork into it and saved, as i understand one can not assign a profile to an older doent (why is that?)

    - Still missing profile when opening.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Finally, i trashed my prefs-file.

    - Still missing profile when opening.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    So, now i'm out of ideas?
    Why do i have to be a rocketscientist to solve such an theoretically easy problem?

    I apologise for the cryptic description of this problem, but i've got no access to an english version of Illustrator at the moment :(

    Profiles are only embedded in .ai files, not .eps

    Make sure your monitor is properly calibrated, then work in a color space that corresponds as closely as possible to the CMYK space of the printing process that will be used.

    Thanks for the info.
    I contacted some techguy there and he sent me a bunch of files (AST,CSF,ICM + amazingly enough: joboptions for Acrobat). So, now i have some reading to do and hopefully there's an improved designer coming out on the other side. :)

    This was a good day.
