Attributes copy blues
Hi everybody
Do you know of a way to copy appearance attributes as in Illustrator?
I'd like (CS2/OSX) to copy a shadow from one object and paste it on another.
Also, I'd like to like to know the keyboard shortcut for decreasing the width of my characters/text, do you know where I can find out keyboard shortcuts for all the character attributes in the character pallette?
hope to hear from you, thanks for reading, kind regards

Re: Attributes copy blues
Alex,
Two ways:
1. Use the first object as the basis of an object style (with the object selected, choose New Style from the Object Style palette) and then disable all attributes except the shadow. Now you can apply this to any other objects that will take a shadow.
2. Use the eyedropper tool -- this is a one-by-one approach and I sufficiently dislike the tool that I'm not very comfortable attempting to use it; but some people swear by it.

Some people swear by it and some people swear at it ;)
You find all shortcuts under Edit > Shortcuts > Show Set

Re: Attributes copy blues
Hey, how do I add one for 'decrease horizontal scale', for type in the character palette, I can't work out how to do it.

Re: Attributes copy blues
Sometimes, things aren't quite where you'd expect them:
1. Edit/Keyboard Shortcuts...
2. Product Area: Text and Tables
3. Commands: Decrease horizontal scale
