    Default Audio problem

    Hello!
I've a laptop with "Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corp. 82801CA/CAM
AC'97 Audio (rev 01)" and my kernel uses Intel ICH (i8xx) and OSS sound modules.
When I use the /dev/dsp or /dev/audio under kde, the devices are busy, but there is not
problem because artsd uses them, but when I use audio1 or dsp1 I've an
error "-bash: /dev/dsp1: No such device", but the device file dsp1 (and
    audio1) exists.
My question is: can I use two channel2 with my sound board? How?
    Thank u!
    Bye
    Yuri

I don't think so. It's common in Linux to have a large number of /dev/
    files that do nothing.
