AutoCad LT 2004 & Acrobat Prof. 6.0
When we try and create a PDF document from an autocad file with a .dwg extention, we get a error "Unable to find the application which created this file..." We can open the drawing from within Autocad LT and print to the PDF printer with no problems, but if we go from Acrobat and try to create a document, we get that error. This doesn't happen with the full version of Autocad, only the LT version. I've downloaded all service packs/patches to no avail. This is an issue because we need to be able to combine multiple drawings into one PDF file.

Re: AutoCad LT 2004 & Acrobat Prof. 6.0
AutoCAD 2004 LT is not a compatible version of Acrobat.

Just print each drawing to PDF and then combine the PDFs.

Re: AutoCad LT 2004 & Acrobat Prof. 6.0
I'm having the exact problem using AutoCADLt 2004i, which is listed on the above link as Acrobat PDF compatible.
Sure, I can work around as suggested above, but this is the 21st Century for Crist's Sake. These things should work right.

AutoCAD is listed, AutoCAD LT is not.

Re: AutoCad LT 2004 & Acrobat Prof. 6.0
I have just purchased Acrobat Professional, the main reason being that I could create AutoCad pdf files.
There must be thousands of users of the LT version and why dose Adobe not state that the pdf files can only be created from the full version of AutoCad.
This would have saved me a lot of money.

Re: AutoCad LT 2004 & Acrobat Prof. 6.0
You can create pdf files from any application by printing/plotting to the adobe pdf printer.

It does. It says "AutoCAD," not "AutoCAD LT."
And, like de Siem said, you can create PDFs from AutoCAD LT, you just can't use the PDFMaker macro.
