AutoHide by PVII
To anyone using AutoHide by PVII --
I have a problem where the extension is greyed out in my behaviors menu. I'm
trying to apply it to the <body> tag as described at:
http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/navigation/auto_hide/index.htm
The tutorial warns that the behavior is greyed out if there are no elements
with an id on the page. I have several elements with ids and it is still greyed
out. Any ideas?
thanks,
Brian

Re: AutoHide by PVII
Make sure you have Auto Hide 1.6 - which is the current download
available from the page you linked. Make sure your elements are properly
ID'd, like this:
<div id="tester">
Tester
</div>
Make sure you have the body element selected when you access your
Behaviors panel. So that the top of the Behaviors panel reads:
"Tag - <body>"
There are no known issues on any of our test systems running Dreamweaver
MX, MX2004, or Dreamweaver 8 on both Windows and OS X.

Re: AutoHide by PVII
Still doesn't work. I have v1.6; the div tags are fine; and I definitely had
selected the body tag. I even created a test div tag on some simple text, but
it still doesn't show up. Rather annoying.

Re: AutoHide by PVII
I'm trying to implement the behavior on a template, not an html file, if that makes any difference.

Re: AutoHide by PVII
It cannot possibly work in a page that is attached to a template. You
must use it inside the Template page (*.DWT) itself. That is expected
behavior.

Re: AutoHide by PVII
That's what I'm doing -- I'm trying to use it in a template (dwt) file, not an html file. Still isn't working.

Re: AutoHide by PVII
I'm afraid the Template might be corrupt. We cannot duplicate that
problem on any of our test Templates. If you want, you can log on to our
support newsgroup and post a link to your DWT file and someone will have
a look at it to see what could be the problem.
