Avoiding Raster-Based Tools
I am new to Illustrator. I am attempting to vectorize an image (for enlargement), so I would like to avoid the raster-based tools/features. Could someone list these (or at least the major ones)?

Re: Avoiding Raster-Based Tools
Many of the Effects and Styles are raster-based, but the actual tools are all vector-based. This includes gradients, blends, patterns, meshes, brushes, symbols (as long as the symbols don't contain raster elements), type, and anything you can create with the Pen tool or any of the object-creation tools.
