go to the MM exchange site (access it via your Command menu) and look for an extension in the navigation section called

Assuming that you have set up the pages so that the first page inserts the
record, and then the others simply update the database, then you can use
session variables to stop a person changing a page, as you can't effectively
stop them using the back button. You would do it something like this

On page 1 you would place

    <%session("svCurrentPage") = "1"

    If session("svCurrentPage") > 1 then %>
    response.redirect ("ErrorPage.asp")
    End If%>

On page 2 amd subsequent pages you would place the following code
    incrementing the numbers each time.

    If session("svCurrentPage") > 2 then %>
    response.redirect ("ErrorPage.asp")
    Else
    session("svCurrentPage") = "2"%>
    End If%>

On your ErrorPage.asp you would tell them they could not go back to previous
    pages and amend the code.

information they filled out before. It's for a research project and i want
people to give and honest, first answer. Is there some way to avoid people
going back a question and re-entering data?
