Default AVToolTipView - Application Error - Crash

I am trying to add a text box to a PDF file I just created form a Word doc. Every time I try, I get a Windows error and Acrobat 6.0.1 crashes on me. The first error says

    The exception Floating-ponit overflow.
(0xc0000091) occurred in teh application at location 0x006fcb19.
Click on OK to terminate the program.

When I click OK, I get this error:

The instruction at "0x2d8818d3" referenced memory at "0x00000008". The memory could not be "read".
clock on OK to terminate the program.

Anybody know how to fix this? It's kind of a problem not to be able to add text boxes. This is Acrobat standard, by the way.

    Thx.

    Try this:

Edit > Preferences > Spelling > [unckeck] Check spelling while typing.

it's just a stab in the dark...

I (and others) have been getting the same message when using a variety of Acrobat's annotation/markup tools, such as table select, text box, open pop-up note (with highlighting). I've never seen any answer for this. The disable spell-check solution did not work for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't help. I'm about to go back to Acrobat 5 if these problems continue. I didn't realize that when my company upgraded to 6 that the standard version does not include creating forms, which I use occasionally

Is there anyway to get to Adobe support and ask about this? I poked around, but didn't see anything. I probably just missed it.

    Thx.
