I've got the same year as you becuase im using Windows XP Drivers on Vista..
Because their are not many new drivers developed for Vista yet..

They've either gotten the dates wrong, or they're "pre-empting" the release
drivers so that they are still valid.

Looks like some sort of generic number they are placing. This explains a
lot for me because the MDAC version states exactly the same "6.0.5308.17".
Which, considering the last MDAC version was 2.8 seems like quite a jump
(not accurate).
