Background color keeps changing in full screen view

I have created an interactive catalogue with pseudo off-page navigation in InDesign. I have made the Indesign background colour black to blend seamlessly with the black screen within Acrobat, and yet even though the Acrobat background color is set to black it appears as light grey. On further investigation it doesn't appear to matter what colour I make the background as it always appears grey!

It was working fine earlier today but now it doesn't - could it be that I have both Pro and Reader (both version 8.) open at the same time to test the PDF in?

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

You could recreate preferences files (set back to standard values) and then try again.

2) Just to exclude really everything:

Is it possible that youre somehow switching to fullscreen preview ?
In this case you eventually see the black background of your document
which just appears grey because your computer screen is set up too bright ?

ok, I know, sounds silly, but i just dont know how exactly the sitation visually look like and how your document looks like ;-)

I'm having the exact same problem. Anyone found a aolution? Is this a bug?
