background haze INDESIGN CS
Does anyone know how to remove the background haze around type that is overlaid on color background?
Illustration: Type is place over a colored background (which is a bitmap object that is colored red)
when printed there is a background of haze that looks translucent where the type is overlaid. The type prints out fine, but where the text block is, there is the haze. I made sure there was no color assigned to the text block.
I seem to get this translucent fade even on overlaid graphics with a clipping path.
I also tried to convert the type to outlines, but that didn't work.
Thanks

Re: background haze INDESIGN CS
The cause is very likely in your printer. It would be helpful to know what kind of printer you are printing to. Also- are you using transparency anywhere?

Yes, that was the problem. I had to export to Illustrator and then print. It's sort of like the printer is so sensitive it picks up the transparency. but it did work in Illustrator???
Transparency in several places. Bitmap objects from photoshop in psd format.
Also it was from just plain text overlaid on solid background. The areas around the type that went out to the type frame edges.
Thanks
