    Have you tried adding a doctype?

    Dan,
    Yes, In fact we started out with XHTML transitional (with valid XHTML), and
    NS 6 wigged out so we removed it. I just reposted the sample with an HTML
    4.01 Transitional doctype and the result is the same.
