Yes. Click in the cell and use the Property Inspector to specify a
background image. Be aware that in order to see the background fully, the
contents of the cell must hold the cell open to the proper dimensions. Also
be aware that this background will tile - you can limit that with CSS, e.g.,

td { background-repeat:no-repeat; }
