Are they viewing the PDF in Adobe Reader 6/7 or the full version in 6/7?

They are viewing the PDF in Reader 6-not the full version. Why shouldn't they open the pdf in photoshop?

OK - then maybe ask them to download Adobe Reader 7 and under the
Preferences check the OVERPRIONT PREVIEW box ... There might be an issue
with overprinting objects which cannot be detected with earlier versions.
Photoshop will just convert all PDF objects into raster information at a
user-defined resolution. Mostly there are multiple objects states and
colour spaces ina PDF - Photoshop in this case just smashes through and
can cause different appearances to what is intended.
