Backups not Staring...
Hi all,
I have a Windows 2003 server with several backups scheduled to run
throughout the night. The jobs doesn't seem to start - even when i run them
manually from the "scheduled tasks" window, i get no response. Application
Event Viewer comes up with a error that says "refer to the backup log
file" - where do i find that log file ?
Also, i have created a user other than administrator to run the backups and
i have added that user to the backup operators group but still nothing...
Can someone maybe help ?
Thanx.,
Gawie.

Re: Backups not Staring...
I have a similar problem with a 2k3 svr where the backup
does not start, so I would be interested to hear the
outcome of this mate.

Re: Backups not Staring...
From www.eventid.net:
Description
NTBackup error: 'The saved selection file "@D:\backup.bks" cannot be
found.'
Comments
Christophe Lubrano di Ciccone (Last update 10/15/2003):
On Win2k, this happens if "backupexec" e.g. was previously installed.
Then another pool is created: backupexec. It must be deleted. The
backup.bks file and the other one without extension must be deleted
and recreated using the wizard.
Ionut Marin (Last update 10/14/2003):
This problem may occur if one or more folders that have been scheduled
for backup are deleted or moved.
Jmarekw
Open and save .bks file.
Dunno if any of those situations applies to you guys?
Cheers
