Indeed. What use is an upgrade that criples a program's functionality? This shiould be addressed in an upgrade. CS 1.1 or whatever.

I have several old programs that I must keep in order to stay in business and not spend thousands upgrading all my other software and hardware that still require legacy .eps versions of Illustrator files. (Sign cutting software and equipment). They never work exported back from 11. alway have to open them and save again in 10.
A version 6.eps is most compatible but it won't work exported from 11
but will work saved from 10.
Lucky I upgraded and have left a copy of Illustrator 10 on my computer.
