backword compatability
I produce pdf documents saved on a SQL database and accessed via the web. Am currently using Acrobat 4 (windows environment running XP) and considering upgrading to 6. I don't want to create problems for clients - opening/printing documents.
Can pdf documents created with Acrobat Version 6 be opened by previous versions of Acrobat? Acrobat Reader? How far back - version 4?

Re: backword compatability
Acrobat 6* can save PDFs as low as version 1.3 (Acrobat 4).
* I know the Pro version can, and I think the Standard version can.

Re: backword compatability
If you really wanted to you can set PDF1.2 (Acrobat 3) when you are converting a document. If you then make any changes you will have to use Acrobat 4 compatibility or later as WT says.
