    Default Baked texture "holy"

I am trying to export a single model from 3dsmax 8 but it won't work (well).

I have rendered to texture and in max's viewports it looks great. But in the
preview window of the w3d exporter, the texture is partly transparent and
misses some polygons. Its hard to explain, but here is a screenshot:

I</a> have no clue as to what this might be... any thoughts?

    Hi there Mazuho,

I think 3DS Max bakes textures to 32 bit TGA files by default, which
could potentially have transparency, and so Shockwavave sets their faces
to be transparent. As Shockwave doesn't sort polygons properly per
object, you get the issues you are currently seeing.

Try selecting BMP or another non-32 bit format as the output for the
maps, and it should fix the issue.

Otherwise, try setting the .transparent property of the shader to false.

You can test the car model within this toolkit, it does an additional
check for Shockwave 3D textures being transparent, and so it should look OK.
